We all know Joss’ anthem of record label issues was put to music in “Free Me”. Well, it looks like she’s gotten her wish! In a new interview with This Is Exeter. Here’s the update:

After an on-going struggle with her former record label, EMI, Joss has finally ended her contract with it. “I am free now and it is a real weight lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “I feel I can start afresh. I haven’t got a new album planned yet — I will do one when it feels right. I’m writing songs all the time, though.”

Very happy for Joss! Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for a new album, though!

A (Joss) Stone likeness will appear in the game (for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC), and she’ll be right there alongside Bond himself, actor Daniel Craig, and Judi Dench (as M), both of whom are reprising their film roles in the game. The singer will also record an original song that she wrote with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics titled “I’ll Take It All.”

Joss is amongst the first wave of artists confirmed to perform at the British Virgin Island’s Go Green Festival, which runs June 24-26. Joss will headline the Go Green concert June 26th at 6PM local time.

The BVI’s charm is that, things evolve slowly and sustainably. Climate Change means that we are our planets worst enemy and I firmly believe that the BVI will become lost in the shuffle and become a dumping ground for outdated, seemingly cheap but destructive products and technology.

Many people in the BVI have realized that we must do something now. There is a swell of progressive energy in the BVI and it is time to make it mainstream. The challenge will not be for want of the change but the investment in the education and infrastructure.
New organizations such as Green VI, Green Technology, Alternative Energy Systems, and Sir are at the forefront, but we need more. We need to send a shock wave to the people of the BVI. We need our very own “An Inconvenient Truth.”

I firmly believe that the BVI is small enough at 64 sq miles of total land mass and with a population of just under 25,000 can be the Greenest or most Carbon Neutral Territory on the planet.
The challenge is passing on the knowledge and making conversions accessible to the people of the BVI. And this is where the concept of the BVI Go Green Festival began.

The label has signed Grammy Award-winning, British R&B singer Joss Stone to produce a fall ’10 capsule collection. Stone will collaborate with Nine West Creative Director Fred Allard on the project, with proceeds benefiting Soles4Souls. Shoes in the line will retail for $70 to $120, according to Stacy Lastrina, chief marketing officer for Nine West’s parent company, Jones Apparel Group Inc.

Joss’ line will debut at the end of August, but pre-orders will be accepted in July via www.ninewest.com/vintageamerica.

As part of his global effort to raise awareness for and to end HIV/AIDS, Sir Elton John will perform on IDOL GIVES BACK, airing Wednesday, April 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX, on behalf of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox, Jeff Beck & Joss Stone and Mary J. Blige & the All-Star Band will also perform.

From that press release snippet, it looks like she’ll be performing with Jeff Beck. Possibly a live performance of “I Put a Spell on You”? Can’t wait!

This time around, Joss is a part of a campaign to raise awareness of Black Bears being killed for their fur, which is being used to make The Queen’s Guards’ ceremonial caps.

The ad will make its debut later on this year.
